Bartlett Public Library District Foundation
Founded in 2000, the Bartlett Public Library District Foundation was established to provide additional sources of revenue to enhance services that are not paid through property taxes. The fund is divided into two parts:
Main Fund: This supports specific projects for the Library. For example, in the past the Foundation purchased furniture for the lounge area near the magazines and newspapers and they helped buy the display for the Library flag that orbited the earth on the space shuttle Endeavor. The Foundation is currently funding the Ancestry and HeritageQuest databases and the Library’s subscription to the Wall Street Journal.
Patti Perkins Fund: Established in memory of the Library’s former Circulation Department Manager. Donations to this fund add to the collection of materials related to women’s health and support programs on this subject. Since its inception, over $15,000 worth of books and audiovisual materials have been purchased for the Library from donations to the Patti Perkins Fund.
The Foundation Executive Board makes spending decisions and project selections.
You can become a member of the Foundation with a yearly contribution of $25 or more. Foundation contributors are not required to become active members of the Foundation.
All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. The Foundation is recognized as an IRS 501(c)(3) organization. You may also remember the Foundation in your will. Memorial donations are welcome.
Please consider including the Bartlett Public Library District Foundation in your estate planning. Many people have found that a bequest and other planned gifts such as life insurance policies or gift annuities are a relatively easy way to make a significant investment in the future of our Library.
Donations and Acknowledgements
The Foundation accepts donations in any amount. All donations to the Foundation should be directed to the Library’s Administration. Gifts of $200 or more are recognized with a plaque on the Foundation Donor wall, located prominently in the Library lobby.

Dine to Donate
Help support the Bartlett Public Library District Foundation! On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, Pilot Pete's in Schaumburg will donate 20% of all dine-in and carry-out purchases to benefit the Library Foundation. Present a Dine to Donate Form at the time of payment. You may also pick up a form any of the Library service desks. Thanks for your support of the Library Foundation!
The Foundation meets on the following days at the Library. The public is welcome to attend.
