Information Technology Assistant (Part-Time)
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to staff and patrons
- Assist in configuration and deployment of PCs and other devices as needed
- Work collaboratively in extracting data to create and maintain a variety of reports
- Assist with maintenance of the Library’s website
- Create detailed technical procedures and documentation
- Maintain accurate account of IT supplies and order supplies as needed
- Maintain inventory log of computer software and hardware
- Recycle toner, ink cartridges, and computer equipment as needed
- Keep abreast of emerging hardware, software, and web-based technologies
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- At least two years of experience in information technology, computer science, or related field
- Experience with the operation and management of computer workstations, Microsoft Windows, and website maintenance
- Excellent computer software skills (Microsoft Office, web browsers, etc.)
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and work with detail and deadlines
- Ability to assess situations, solve problems, and make good judgment calls
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision
- Proactive approach to learning, adapting, and adopting new technology
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Experience with an integrated library system, local area networks, backup and recovery systems, security software, and management of Microsoft cloud
- Experience with Dreamweaver
Salary and Schedule
- $19.00-$20.22/hour, depending on qualifications
- Part-time, 15.5 hours/week
- Schedule: Tuesdays 4pm-9:15pm, Fridays 1pm-6:15pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm
