Ages 3-6 on their own. Join Mrs. Rose and enjoy 30 minutes of stories, music, and a visit from Little Mouse. Older siblings are welcome. Space is limited to the first 20 people to arrive.
Celebrate Spring Scavenger Hunt!
Come celebrate Springtime by dropping in anytime between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM to participate in a spring-themed Scavenger Hunt. Those who successfully complete this fun activity will receive a prize at the Youth Services Desk!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Prizes given for every 100 books, with a grand prize being a book and their picture on our "Wall of Fame." Get a reading packet in person or track your progress at the READsquared website.
Book Button Club
Are you looking for a fun way to motivate your children to read different types of books? Sign up for our Book Button Club, open to students in grades K-8. Students can choose from 20 different categories of books. Complete a category and receive a button. Stop by the Youth Services desk to register and pick up your reading log.
Seasonal Reading Clubs
Our Winter and Summer Reading Clubs offer children an opportunity to earn prizes for time spent reading. These reading clubs are a fun way to maintain reading skills over the winter and summer breaks from school.
Safety Guidelines for Caregivers and Children
The Library is a public building that has thousands of visitors each week, which can present hazards for unsupervised children. Follow these guidelines while in the building:
- Caregivers are responsible for the behavior of their children during visits.
- Children age 7 and younger need direct supervision from a caregiver age 16 or older.
- Children age 8 and older may use the Library unattended if they are non-disruptive.
- Make sure your child has your contact information if you are dropping them off.
- If you and your child become separated, immediately tell staff so they can assist you.
- Encourage children to go to a service desk if they become separated from you.
- During storytimes, caregivers must remain in the Youth & Teen Services Department.
- If you know you will be late in picking up a child before Library closure, call to let us know.
- If a child (Junior High and under) is still at the Library after closure:
- At least two employees will wait with the child.
- Contacting the caregivers will be attempted.
- If unable to speak with caregivers within 20 minutes of closure, police will be called.
- If caregivers don’t arrive prior to police, children will be given over to police custody.
