BARTLETT PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT
RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS

We are happy to answer questions and assist you and your students with the many resources available at our Library.

School Library Card

Principals complete an application each school year for a list of authorized users, so they may borrow items to supplement their curriculum. The card is kept on file at the Library.

Class Visits and Tours

Call to schedule a Library visit, storytime, book talk, or a presentation to coordinate with class topics. You may also schedule librarians to visit your classroom.

Research

Aside from our items and reference capabilities, there are eSources to which BPLD cardholders can access from home. Patrons visiting the Library have access to them on our public computers. Some of them include:

Classroom Collections

Limit of 20 items can be checked out for a classroom as supplementary resources. (We reserve the right to limit amount of items requested on a topic.) If help in choosing is needed, call or fill out the form. Items will be held for pick up.

Assignment Alerts

These give us an understanding of assignments and allow us to select appropriate items for students to use in the Library. Items are kept for duration of assignments. Call, visit, or fill out the form to give us an Assignment Alert.

Computers

Call ahead to book the computer lab for Library related instruction of the catalog and other online resources. The Library also offers WiFi and public computers for working on projects. Printing/copying in black & white or color costs $0.20 a page.
