Microsoft Office: Adjusting the Line Spacing Within a Paragraph

  1. Select all of the paragraphs that you would like to change the line spacing of.
  2. Right click the selection, and click Paragraph.
  3. Under the Spacing category, use the dropdown under Line spacing to choose an option; most commonly, Single for a tighter look or Double for a looser spacing. You can also choose Multiple to set a custom measurement in the At field.

 

Microsoft Office: Adjusting the Spacing Before or After a Paragraph

  1. Select all of the paragraphs that you would like to change the space before or after of.
  2. Right click the selection, and click Paragraph.
  3. Under the Spacing category, increase or decrease the measurements in the Before and After subcategories. Most commonly, Before should be set to 0 pt and After should be set to a measurement of your choosing (the higher the number the more space between paragraphs).
