Requesting Accomodation

The Bartlett Public Library District aims to be a welcoming space for people of all abilities. If you face any barriers or would like to request reasonable accommodation, please contact the Library’s Accessibility Coordinator.

Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available in the library’s front parking lot. The front entrance includes a ramp and has motion-sensing automatic doors.

Elevator

The 2nd floor is accessible by elevator. The elevator is located next to the circulation desk.

Drive-Up Book Return

The library offers a 24-hour drive up book return, located at the rear of the building.

Restrooms

The library has accessible restrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. The library has a nursing room and single occupancy, all-gender restrooms on the 1st floor.

Large Print Materials

The library has a collection of adult fiction and nonfiction large print materials. This collection is available on the 1st floor in Adult Services.

Audiobooks

The library has a collection of adult audiobooks on CD located on the 1st floor of the library. The Youth Services offers VOX audiobooks and Playaways. The library offers a vast collection of electronic audiobooks available through the Libby, Hoopla, and Tumblebooks apps.

Braille

The library holds a small collection of Braille materials.

Digital Resources

Many of the library’s digital resources include accessibility features designed to enhance usability. Please refer to individual resources for specific accessibility options or contact the library for assistance.

Text Magnifier

Text magnifiers are available at the Adult Desk.

Youth Services

The Youth Services Department, located on the second floor, provides an Alone Zone seating option for patrons seeking a quieter environment, as well as noise-canceling headphones and sensory bags available for checkout.

Study Rooms and Quiet Room

The library has reservable study rooms to provide a more private workspace for patrons. Reservations can be made with Adult Services. The library has a dedicated quiet room on the 1st floor.

Accessibility Services & Resources

Alone Zone

Single cabinet in the middle of the library. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases nearby.

The Alone Zone seating unit provides a peaceful, quiet space.

Alzheimer's/Dementia Support Kits

Books and items related to Alzheimer's and Dementia Support
Take-home activity kits made for Alzheimer's and dementia patients and their caregivers.

Noise Cancelling Headphones
