English Language Learning
The Library offers a wide range of textbooks, workbooks, and audio-visual materials designed to support learners at every stage of learning English, from beginners just starting to recognize letters and sounds to advanced readers building conversation and writing skills. Our collections and eResources include grammar guides, vocabulary builders, pronunciation practice, and everyday conversation resources, allowing you to continue learning at your own pace. We offer English learning resources created specifically for speakers of many different native languages, making it easier to start learning English using familiar explanations and examples. Library staff are always happy to help you find the right level and format for your needs, just visit the Adult Services Desk for assistance.

World Languages
The Library maintains a growing collection of books in Gujarati, Hindi, Polish, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Urdu, offering both recreational reading and practical materials for a variety of ages and interests. We are committed to serving the linguistic diversity of our community and continually work to expand these collections to better reflect the languages spoken by our patrons. If you do not see the titles or languages you are looking for, we strongly encourage you to request materials — your suggestions directly help shape our collection. Whether you are looking for stories from home, children’s books for family reading, or materials to maintain literacy in your native language, our world language collection aims to support connection, comfort, and lifelong learning.

Learn a new language with Mango! Lessons are available in over 70 languages including Spanish, Polish, and Chinese. Plus you can learn English from 20 different source languages. Funded in part by the Friends of the Bartlett Library.
