It is the policy of the Bartlett Public Library District to permit access to and copying of its public records in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (the “Act”) (5 ILCS 140/3.5).

- The Library’s purpose is to provide recreational and educational services and programs.
- There are 27 full-time and 18 part-time employees.

Requests
The Library does not require the completion of a standard form, but FOIA requests must be done in writing and be as descriptive as possible. In addition to filling out our web form, you may instead submit your written request in person, or by mail. Let us know if you want copies of the requested records or if you wish to look at them in person.
Cost
Up to 50 pages of black & white copies included, but beyond that it costs $0.15 per page. Color copies are $0.25 per page. If records are provided in electronic format, the actual cost of the media used for storage will be charged.
